This educational event will be for patients, caregivers, and professionals, as well as friends and family. 

The major patient/caregiver education will be on a Parkinson’s research update.  

8:30 AM – 9:30 AM                 Registration, breakfast, yoga and resource area

9:00 AM – 9:20 AM                 Optional Gentle Yoga Demonstration – Aminta Onge

9:25 AM – 10:25 AM               Keynote Speaker -  Mark Hirsch, Phd, Senior Scientist, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  Carolinas Healthcare System (5 mins intro, 45 mins with 10 mins Q & A). Topic:  Research Update

10:25 AM – 11:15 AM            General Session 50 minutes (40 mins, 10 mins Q & A)

Topic: Caring for the Care Partner – Katie Durham LCSW with Duke Movement Disorder Center

11:15 AM – 11:35 AM             20 minute Restroom Break - VISIT RESOURCE AREA

11:35 AM – 12:20 PM             General Session 45 minutes (40 mins, 5 mins Q & A)
